The best Family Night we've ever had.

It was stake conference weekend for the ward we attend here in Davenport. So with no meetings in the local ward, we decided to plan our own Sunday. We drove to the Orlando temple and enjoyed the grounds and the feeling there.

Does he look like a sumo wrestler to you? Notice the top knot.

I have taught and been taught in many a home evening lesson. The lesson we were taught tonight by Leah ranked among the best. She taught a lesson on faith.
Here we have Peter sailing in Sea of Galilee. Peter is the blue cup and his boat is the snorkel.

He sailed across the sea and a storm came up - depicted by the waterfall.

He looked to shore and saw the Saviour walking on the water towards the ship (the Saviour is the beachball)

With the Saviour's encouragement Peter left the ship and started to walk to the Saviour on the water.

He became afraid and started to sink. His faith had weakened.

The Saviour stretched forth his hand and rescued Peter. We then read a scripture and discussed faith. Dillon closed with prayer and we had popsicles for treat.

Isn't that an amazing lesson? It's easy to see what goes on in the Fisher's home.

Everyone was cuddled and the kids went off to bed anticipating the Magic Kingdom on Monday.

  1. Hey guys
I must truly agree with you. I have enjoyed many home evenings but that was a classic. I never enjoyed one in a pool. What a beautiful imaginative way to illustrate a GREAT principle. I feel like I was there. Thanks Heather for sharing .
The temple shots of the families are precious. Children don't forget these sacred experiences. Have a great day today!
