Two gobble days in one year

We took  a little time for ourselves and decided to spend the American Thanksgiving in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Actually we wanted to find a cool place to participate in the Black Friday deals. It was a lot of fun. For some unknown reason both of us really enjoy being in these huge crowds on this particular shopping day.

Here I am with THE MAN in Bronner's - the worlds largest Christmas store. I like my men bearded with large bellies

Turkey dinner on Thursday at the Bavarian Inn where we stayed

Meeting of the Board

Tomato season is almost over and so we decided to have a board meeting. Of course it should involve food and we enjoyed a great lunch at Rossini's in Chatham.

Little Dolly joins the family

This is our new little rescue dog. Her name is Dolly. It's hard not to call her Molly but we are getting it right more often than not. We've had her for just over a week and love is winning because she is not nipping at me and she loves to sleep with me.

This was during the funeral week. My sister-in-law, Judy, stayed with us. As always we had a fun time and celebrated our last lunch together on this trip at Annabelles in Kingsville.

We were fortunate to have a sunny Saturday afternoon to go on our annual bittersweet hunt. I love them because of their orange color and we were very successful again this year to find our secret stash untouched by human hands. Reminds me of life - you need to take the bitter with the sweet.

Parrs for the course

We had the opportunity to be with Donna and her children over Labour Day weekend. We picked them up on Thursday and had a great time with them until they needed to go back on Monday. Thank goodness for the Harrow fair, swimming pools and air conditioning. The weather was lousy but we really enjoyed each others' company. At the fair we met Spiderman, the Princess and a flower child. We slept in new pyjamas and became friends with Noah, Daniel and Solomon through vidoes. Life is good.

The real Sook comes shining through the fashion industry with her umbrella hat. If anybody needs one for Christmas, an order will be placed before the end of September. I am a trendsetter.
