Some last minute activities

Pete and I went to the Orlando temple yesterday and were able to participate in the sealing ordinance for his Mom and Dad and brother.

We have had an absolutely wonderful month here. The weather has been outstanding. We put down a deposit on the house for next year and hope we will be healthy enough to enjoy Florida in 2012. We are on our way early tomorrow morning with Kirtland, Ohio as our destination for viewing General Conference. We expect to be in Kingsville late Sunday evening. Thanks for your prayers on our behalf and we"ll see you in cyberspace later.

A Mish-mash of good stuff!!!!

Because of some inconsistent sleep patterns during the night, we were unable to attend the temple today. We decided instead to find a Hallmark Crown store for some Easter napkins and other things. We were fortunate (LOL) to see a farmer's market on our way there. That was so much fun and we bought a huge sweet onion, a bunch of asparagus and some sweet potatoes. Then because we worked so hard we treated ourselves to some good sweet stuff. Then we were off to the Hallmark store. There we found everything we were looking for and then some. After that a Target run was in order and then Pete found a Border's book store that was going out of business. They had a few cookbooks left that we felt would look better on our bookshelves and so guess what - We bought them. After looking at all these cookbooks, we realized that we were hungry. Can you believe it - there was a Carrabba's next door. What a super way to end the day. There is so much I want to tell you ..you have to see these thank u cards Leah and Dillion did for us - they are priceless...I want you all to know, I love to come home and find new entries on your blogs...its just like a constant family reunion but you don't have to make any food!!! I hope you enjoy this one.

A view of the market

This Lithuanian vendor had the sweet stuff

trust Pete to find anything with a tractor on it

Leah and Dillon's thank you cards - aren't they wonderful ( the kids are too!!)

Another trip to Park Avenue

We slept in this morning and decided to take another drive to Park Avenue in Winter Park. There is a wonderful spice store that carries different spices from around the world. The neat thing is that the spices were explained and recipes provided that taught us how to use each one. Of course we bought a few to try. The weather was gorgeous and we managed to hang around long enough for lunch at a lovely sidewalk cafe. Tomorrow we hope to get to the Orlando Temple to do the endowment work for Pete's Dad.

What a sweet restaurant - tangerine citrus dressing on a shrimp and avocado salad was divine

and Pete had a half a loaf of bread with cheese and tomatoes - won't those Europeans ever learn what 'real' food is?

It was hard to take the Fishers to the airport today. We dropped them off at 1:00 so that Kim would have time to encourage United Airlines to assign them seats together. After hugs and kisses, they left us and entered the airport to begin their journey back to Edmonton.

Peter and I didn't have much to say to each other and he realized that a mall visit might be the cure. Much to my surprise, it was a great remedy for what ailed me. It is now 7:00 p.m and we just got home.

Too bad most of you are in the snow - wish you were here with us

Love
the Great Aunt Heather and the Great Uncle Pete!!

Downtown Disney one last time

We've had so much fun getting to know this young family. We just decided we are going to adopt all of them (LOL). We are really going to miss them. Leah is such a little lady and Dillon is just full of beans. It's going to be hard to see them go home to Edmonton today so we are making plans to see them in Florida next year. At least Pete, Leah, Dillon and I are. The other two keep talking about an anniversary trip. So here we go!!

leaving Magic Kingdom

Rice Krispies and toast taste better with ears on

the hat says Toy Story but the light sabre says Star Wars
.

This Princess Leia costume was Leah's boog-a-la present. It was fun to watch her hunt

Face painting was a big hit

Dad got into the act too. This was one didn't pass inspection.

kids love bubbles and these two are no exception

stopped a stranger for help with this picture. He did a good job.

this is the one that made it home

We had lunch at T-rex cafe. The food was OK but the atmosphere rocked!

The best Family Night we've ever had.

It was stake conference weekend for the ward we attend here in Davenport. So with no meetings in the local ward, we decided to plan our own Sunday. We drove to the Orlando temple and enjoyed the grounds and the feeling there.

Does he look like a sumo wrestler to you? Notice the top knot.

I have taught and been taught in many a home evening lesson. The lesson we were taught tonight by Leah ranked among the best. She taught a lesson on faith.
Here we have Peter sailing in Sea of Galilee. Peter is the blue cup and his boat is the snorkel.

He sailed across the sea and a storm came up - depicted by the waterfall.

He looked to shore and saw the Saviour walking on the water towards the ship (the Saviour is the beachball)

With the Saviour's encouragement Peter left the ship and started to walk to the Saviour on the water.

He became afraid and started to sink. His faith had weakened.

The Saviour stretched forth his hand and rescued Peter. We then read a scripture and discussed faith. Dillon closed with prayer and we had popsicles for treat.

Isn't that an amazing lesson? It's easy to see what goes on in the Fisher's home.

Everyone was cuddled and the kids went off to bed anticipating the Magic Kingdom on Monday.
